1. Data controller

The controller of personal data is University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Architecture (UL FA), Zoisova cesta 12, 1000 Ljubljana, e-mail: ar-editors@fa.uni-lj.si.

2. Legal basis and purpose of personal data processing

2.1. UL FA collects and processes the user's personal data on the basis of:

  • the express consent of the user, namely for the purpose of providing services and fulfilling pre-contractual or contractual obligations (e.g., providing information, user assistance, establishing contact),
  • based on their legitimate interests (order processing)

2.2 Users of the website agree to the use and processing of personal data on the basis of personal consent, by clicking "I agree" when creating a user account or the first login to the user account after reading the Legal notice. By clicking "I agree," users consent to the use of their personal data in the manner and for the purposes specified in this document, which is an integral part of the Legal Notice.

3 Categories of personal data processed

3.1. UL FA processes the following personal data of the user:

  • Name and surname
  • e-mail address
  • title
  • telephone
  • information related to the order or contact
  • other information that the user voluntarily enters into the forms on the website;

3.2. This website does not use cookies for tracking and analytics; we use anonymous and non-user identifiable information about website visits. A cookie is used to protect the session or links on certain pages that contain contact or order forms, and thus a functional cookie is required for the forms to function:

4. Processors of personal data

4.1. UL FA provides users' personal data to contractual partners who act as personal data processors and agrees to enter into such a contractual relationship only with contractual partners who have taken appropriate measures to protect personal data. These contractual partners are:

4.2. UL FA does not transfer personal data outside the EU or to international organizations unless it is strictly necessary and there is a decision on adequacy or on the basis of appropriate contractual clauses laying down safeguards for such transfers.

5. Period of retention of personal data

5.1. Personal data of users is kept for 3 years after their last login to the system, or for as long as our legal obligations require.

6. User rights

6.1. According to the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation and the applicable Personal Data Protection Act, the data subject (i.e., the user) has the right to:

  • request access to personal data,
  • request the deletion or correction of personal data,
  • request restrictions on the processing of personal data,
  • revoke their consent at any time (without prejudice to the lawfulness of the processing of data carried out on the basis of the consent until revoked),
  • object to the processing of personal data at any time,
  • require the transfer of data in machine-readable form, including the transfer of personal data to other organizations,
  • file a complaint with the Information Commissioner (address: Dunajska 22, 1000 Ljubljana, e-mail: gp.ip@ip-rs.si telephone: 012309730, website: www.ip-rs.si ), if they believe their privacy rights have been violated or that illegal processing of their personal data has occurred.

6.2. An individual exercises their rights by sending an e-mail to: ar-editors@fa.uni-lj.si.

6.3. If the controller suspects that the user's rights, particularly the right to delete personal data, have been abused, the controller reserves the right to prevent the user from re-registering.

7. Limitation of controller liability

7.1. UL FA undertakes to always protect personal data with the utmost care and in accordance with the current Personal Data Protection Act and the General Data Protection Regulation.
